I feel like in today's society, even in the US, people gets triggered easily. I honestly don't know how to feel if a person is dressing up as another race for fun since I do live in the US and today news is all about racism, sexism, etc. It just hard to accept or reject a person who tried really hard to dress up other than their own race but it's all depends on the intent. Yeah, it may be for fun, but I don't know that and I really don't know how to react to that since I never personally experience it before. I'm not the type of person to got online and talk smack about it. Yeah, I might feel uncomfortable, triggered, or what not, but that's all to myself, not in public.

Thanks, Clark for sharing this article, this is a great topic to discuss being that it is a very controversial and relevant topic in today's society. In my opinion, I think it is wrong to dress up in blackface as a costume because of the racist history attached to it. Blac face originally was used by white perfumer to make fun of the way they thought black people behaved. Their performances were very degrading to blacks. However, I do not think people are racist or offensive when they dress up as a culture that they admire or find beautiful. It's only wrong to dress up as a culture when you have ill intent or you think of it as a joke.
